The Dutch Hall with Pete Van Dyk

We are back going again at the Dutch Hall!  This time I didn't feel much like coming up with anything myself so I let the makers of Cards Against Humanity do all the writing for us.  Our guests this week are my cousin Craig Franklin, my sister Laurie Ball, and my lovely wife, Jane Van Dyk.  We play the game, discuss third base and learn about Pete's shortcomings in the bedroom from his wife.

Re-release of Episode 10. Out of respect to my uncle, John Van Dyk, The Dutch Hall will remain quiet this week.  Instead, please enjoy a re-release of my cousin Kevin's favourite episode.  I know it's dated a bit because we talk about the Olympics, but I think the jokes still work.

We are back at the Dutch Hall and this time we are talking magic with illusionist, Lucas Wilson.  Lucas is a 3 time Guinness Book world record holder, he has appeared on Canada's Got Talent and The Dragon's Den.  We talk about some of the greats in the World of Magic (use your best Doug Henning voice), how to get out of a straight jacket and Pete sells a new trick to Lucas.  And this one was magically keep clean!

Shop Tour #1 - Shinnanigans on St. James, The Dutch Hall hits the road for the first of many shop tours.  This one lands us in the beautiful town of Waterford, Ontario Canada, to the back yard Irish Pub of Jeff Ball.  After a severely botched monologue, Pete talks to the Waterford boys about growing up in Waterford, Pete's "trip" to Colorado, and whether there is a girl between the ages of 16 and 35 with pubic hair.

Episode 20! I have some old friends of the show, Dave Charters, Mike Bouw and Mike Ostapchuk come by to talk about how far the Dutch Hall has come in 20 weeks.  We also breakdown the Fred Eaglesmith episode, talk about music and tell you where the show is headed.

Pete welcomes one of Canada's great renaissance men, Fred Eaglesmith to the Dutch Hall for a lesson on how to make it in Rock and Roll the Eaglesmith way.  Fred has been making music for over four decades and has just recently released his 20th studio album, Tambourine.  His songs have been covered by Toby Kieth, Miranda Lambert and Alan Jackson.  His Travelling Steam Show is aggressively making its way across North America.  In addition to talking about Fred's storied career, they talk about merits of the education system, the evolution of the music business and whether there is any value to integrity anymore.  And Fred performs 2 songs live, unplugged at the Dutch Hall!

Episode 18.  Pete's siblings, Laurie Ball, Paul Van Dyk and Lisa VandenBussche visit the Dutch Hall to celebrate Holy Thursday.  We talk about what it was like growing up together, Egg fights and which one of us is Ringo.

Episode 17.  Mike Bouw, Adam Hill and Craig Franklin return to the Dutch Hall to attempt the Dutch Hall's first ever TopicPalooza!  We talk about the death of the Ultimate Warrior, how big a dick the John Lennon clone would be and what would drive you to stab your boss.

Episode 16.  We prove Oprah is full of crap and that there are a lot of hard working dads out there too.  Billy Salman, Jeff Klunder and our bartender, Dave Charters talk about what it's like to be a dad in the modern era, Rob Ford and how to give birth on your basement floor.

Finally we silence our critics and have a Ladies Night at the Dutch Hall.  Pete and the girls managed, amongst the chaos, to talk about breastfeeding, the Toronto Mayor's Race and how to lose 60lbs in 10 months.
